ganesha is one of the most widely known and worshipped deities in the hindu tradition. he is revered as the remover of obstacles and more generally as the lord of beginnings, patron of arts and sciences, and the deva of intellect and wisdom.
the om featured in these earrings is known as the devangari om, which carries the same meaning as om but is written a little differently in sanskrit by certain indian tribes. the vibration of the om mantra is said to be the first primordial sound of existence. it represents the manifestation of the supreme being, the universe, past, present, and future, and the cyclical nature of beginning, transformation, and end. it is the reflection of the absolute reality, without beginning or end.
