mixed baltic amber shakti mala bracelet, made with genuine baltic amber and gold. this is an updated version of our original shakti design from 2011. it is truly the finest baltic amber i've ever had the opportunity to work with in over ten years of mala making. photographs can't really do it justice. like diamonds, true amber takes millions of years to be created. the age of amber can be between 35 and 140 million years old and can be found in many countries, but the baltic sea region contains 95% of the world's amber. its color, warmth, and electrical properties have earned it a reputation as a protective and calming stone. it can absorb negative energy, supports a sunny disposition, happiness, courage, good luck, and helps to dispel negativity.

shakti translates in sanskrit as "to be able," meaning sacred force or empowerment, the primordial cosmic energy, and represents the dynamic forces that are thought to move through the entire universe.

Sizing Info:

small - fits a 5.75" - 6.25" wrist
medium - fits a 6.75" - 7.5" wrist

please note that these are 6mm stones, and so are slightly smaller than the standard 8mm size. 27 mala prayer beads. strung on strong stretch cord with brass and antique gold plated accents, and gold plated om charm. medium sizes are made with additional accents and spacers at the ninth beads on either side of the bracelet. this design originally listed 9/2011.
